With another delay, here’s the song of the week, Cantando por un Sueño. Some info about it: it was released in 2006, as the title song of the Mexican TV show with the same name and later featured on Thalia’s album El sexto sentido: Re+Loaded.

How did I end up loving this song? Well, after listening to Primera Fila, thanks to which I became Thalia’s fan (but that’s another story, which I’ll probably share some day too), I wanted to listen to her discography, starting with ballads. But when I finally turned my attention to the rest of her songs, this one absolutely amazed me, first of all because of the instrumental. It is awesome, so full of energy and with a great rhythm! Each time I listened to this song, I discovered new sounds that I enjoyed, especially the guitar and violin, which totally blew my mind.
Further more, Thalia’s voice is strong and fits perfectly with the instrumental. That’s what you hear the first time, but after listening closely to the lyrics, you realize that the message of this song is wonderful. To me, singing is one of the greatest gifts someone could have. I admire people who have it and use it well, people who share feelings and emotions through their music and their voices in an authentic way, giving their best. This song not only tells you that “your voice is the trophy you have inside of you”, but also that you can make everything come true, the most important thing is to know what you want, to want to get it and go after it, never giving up your dreams.
There are lots of other things I could add while trying to describe this song, but words are not enough sometimes to express things, so which better way than just letting this song describe itself to you? Enjoy!
