Thalia in 2011 (2) – Interviews

In 2011, Thalia gave a lot of interviews, especially in November, thanks to the release of her 3rd book, Cada día más fuerte/Growing Stronger.

We’ll get there too, but first let’s see what happened in January, when we saw Thalia in a small interview about her Head & Shoulders commercial and later on, in the Love me tender making of video.

In September, the Onda la Superestacion radio station aired for the first time an interview that Thalia gave back in 2009, you can listen to it here. This was the promo:

As I said, November was FULL of interviews about the new book, together with a special appearance in Aqui y ahora – Un dia con Thalia. I’m not going to post them again here, so please click on the links if you want to watch them :)

Got two more categories to cover, Events and a new one that I decided to create, called Commercials & Magazine features. Stay tuned!

My thoughts on Thalia’s latest video interviews

Hello, hello!

I haven’t had so much time to frenetically post all of Thalia’s most recent interviews, photos and news about her (boy, there have been A LOT in the last couple of days!),  so what I’m going to do is try to give a short review of them and share some of my thoughts and impressions. You’d better get comfortable, this is going to be a loooong post! :P

Thalia releases her autobiography

Mexican singer Thalia released her autobiography “Cada dia mas fuerte” (Growing Stronger), in which she speaks about her best life experiences, but also about very bitter times.

“Thank you very much for coming here. I dedicate this book to you for loving me so much,” said Thalia, dressed in a green blouse, black pants and a white hat, upon her arrival at a New York bookstore on Tuesday, Nov. 1, where dozens of fans were waiting for her to sign copies of the book.

The first in line was Nauro Medeiros, a 28-year-old Brazilian who traveled from London to New York to be able to fulfill his dream of seeing his idol in person.

“I like everything about her: the soap operas, the music,” Medeiros told Efe, adding that Thalia’s work “has always helped me in my life. I’ve gone through bad times, and her music has given me strength when I needed it.”

Also awaiting the star in her wheelchair was Yesenia Torres, 38, who said that she was hoping to find in the book “new things to be able to know her and her family better.”

Medeiros and Torres waited for several hours to be the first to have the 40-year-old artist – who came to the store accompanied by her husband, music mogul Tommy Mottola – sign their copies of her book.
