Hello, hello! I know, it’s been a while since I last wrote a proper blog post; even so, the number of pageviews has recently passed 50.000, which makes me really happy 😀 Thanks to random visitors and to my faithful readers (I’d like to think I have a handful of those, so if you’re here, give me a sign!) this blog goes on, slow but steady, so I’m ready to get back in action and keep all of you updated with the latest news and info about Thalia 🙂 Let’s begin, shall we?
Thalia is currently working on her next studio album, details about it remain unknown for now, but in the last couple of months she has been sharing parts of the process with her Twitter followers, letting them know when she was listening and selecting new possible tracks for the album and asking for their opinion and suggestions of songs they’d like to hear her sing. She also revealed that she’s been working on a song with the Canadian artist Michael Bublé, saying in one of her tweets that she likes his style and they will be making magic together. In a recent interview, Bublé said that Thalia is beautiful, her voice is incredible. Apparently, the song will be featured on Michael Bublé’s upcoming Christmas album, which will be released in late October. Can’t wait to hear the result of their work together, especially if it’s a holiday song! 🙂
Speaking of Thalia’s Twitter profile, she reached 2 million followers not long ago and decided to celebrate this by rewarding 10 lucky fans with a special, autographed iPhone case. She also said that the Twitcam she had promised a while ago will take place as soon as she reaches 2,5 million followers. Current status? 2,183,450 followers and counting!
On August, 26, Thalia celebrated her birthday, as she turned 40 15 this year! Fans all over the world sent her virtual presents and their thoughts and wishes to congratulate her, as Thalia shared this special moment with everyone. She even showed them the birthday card her daughter Sabrina Sakaë gave her, saying Isn’t this the most beautiful birthday card ever? I love how my Saki drew me! And her shaky handwriting (helped by her dad, of course!) and a photo of her birthday cake: My birthday cake! One candle! It’s enough!
Thalia’s friend Lili Estefan also shared a photo on her Twitter profile. The next day, Thalia had to temporary evacuate her home due to the threat of Hurricane Irene. In the end, everyone was safe and sound, as pointed by one of her fans, Thalia is well trained, Hurricane Irene is nothing compared to Hurricane Sakae! 🙂
According to the media, Thalia is being sued by the Genomma Lab International company, her pregnancy being the main reason.
Thalia is the face of Genomma’s Teatrical Clasica face cream, and apparently her pregnancy was a “breach of contract”. The commercial featuring Thalia, which aired while she was pregnant, purported to make the user “feel 17 again”.
Apparently the contract stipulated that Thalia couldn’t radically change her appearance, and Genomma Lab feels that pregnancy and childbirth were too radical for the 40-year-old megastar.
Well, what can I say? To me, they’re making a huge mistake. And for what I’ve seen, her fans are not pleased either, in response, some of them are determined not to buy Teatrical products ever again. 😀
Rumor has it that Thalia will make an appearance on the Mexican version of the show The Voice, ” La Voz… México”. According to Diario Basta, she will present her new music project and her two-month-old baby Matthew Alejandro. I personally think all this is too good to be true, so I guess we should wait and see!
Enough with the rumors from the media. Guess who’s going to be on the cover of the People En Español magazine this October? That’s right! The photo shoot took place last week, both Thalia and the photographer, Omar Cruz tweeted about it, as well as the magazine’s editor, Armando Correa: In the next edition, you’ll see Thalia in all her splendor, more beautiful than ever. Our first cover girl celebrating our 15th anniversary. I’m looking forward to seeing the photos, with Thalia’s beauty and Omar’s talent, I’m sure they’re incredible. Until then, here are a couple of backstage photos.
Well, that’s about all! Hope you’ve enjoyed this post, I promise to write more often so that you won’t have to read such long posts again 😛 Thanks for reading!
