An inspiring story…

Pff… I don’t even know how to begin this post… Once again I’m having trouble writing, sharing my thoughts and feelings, being under the impression that inspiration is failing me and that I’m not able to write something as beautiful as I’d like to… but I really have to give it a try right now, as I’ve read one of the most touching stories and I HAVE to share it with all of you.

So a few days ago someone subscribed to my blog, and since that doesn’t happen very often and this person also has a blog, it made me curious and I ended up taking a quick look at it. I found out that “Life Happens… everyday, but get’s interesting when you are hit with Lyme Disease.” and I instantly thought of Thalia, as I first heard of this disease because of her. I also watched a wonderful video and felt touched by the words that came with it… I wondered why Romina (cause that is her name) decided to follow my blog, I thought it was because of what she has in common with Thalia, and also wondered if that’s all there is or if she actually likes her music or read her book “Growing stronger”.

Well, I just found the answers to my questions, as Romina wrote about  Thalia’s concert in NY and what it meant to her. As I said, it is one of the most touching things I’ve read and I invite you to read it as well, by clicking here.

Romina, I just want to thank you for finding me, as at the same time you gave me the chance to find you, I’m truly glad you felt inspired by Thalia’s battle with Lyme disease and projected it into yours, that you found strength through her music and you were able to attend her concert and have a good time with your family. I wish you all the best, I hope you keep growing stronger, never give up and keep smiling no matter what, and I’m SURE you’ll accomplish much more than just stand on high heels for hours hehe. You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to! 🙂

PS: You’re right, things do happen for a reason.

What do we know about Thalia’s new album?

We know a lot… and we don’t know anything. I’m SO confused right now. And it’s killing me that I can’t be there. There… at her concert in New York on September 21. Why? Cause apparently it’s going to be recorded, which is kind of a Primera Fila déjà vu. Not because I couldn’t be there as well, cause at that time I almost didn’t even know her, but because just by watching the DVD or listening to the album, you know it’s a “once in a lifetime” experience. And now it turns out that it can be not only once, but twice. Am I making any sense? *takes a deep breath*

Ok, hold on, I got carried away, that’s not the introduction I was planning for this post. Let’s see… Thalia’s been talking about her new album for how long? 6 months? Almost a year? I have a bad memory 😛 She’s not given us much details, but gathering a piece from here, a piece from there, we can have a general idea of what it’s going to be like.

First of all, I think one of the things that’s been mentioned the most are the duets. It could be one, it could be more… Looking back at Primera Fila, I’d say two, or even more. The question that remains is with whom? Thalia said she’s been working once again with Leonel Garcia (Cómo, Ya lo sabía) and also with Mario Domm (Equivocada). I’m just wondering whether they only composed the songs or also sang them together. And apparently Leonel will also have a duet with Thalia on his upcoming album, while Tony Bennett will have a duet with Thalia on his upcoming album. Could these two songs also be included on her album? For some reason I don’t think so…

Leonel and Mario aren’t the only ones that got to work with her for both Primera Fila and her new album. Thalia’s let us know that she’s also been working with the same musicians. I guess she’s got herself a pretty solid team and the results can only be great.

So we have duets, what about another medley? And what about cover songs? Thalia’s been asking not once, but many times, what songs we would like to hear her sing, and also which of her songs we’d love to hear in a medley. I’d bet something like this will be part of her new album, don’t you think?

Another thing that’s been bugging me is a series of tweets that she’s written not long ago, about working with a mysterious Mr. Walter A.

Romantic song? #CancionCortaVenas? This could indicate that Mr. Walter A. is none other than Walter Afanasieff, the producer of Celine Dion’s “My heart will go on”. Need I say more?

And now, let’s talk about Habítame Siempre. At first I thought it was only the name of her concert, (honestly, I was hoping this was just something special she decided to do for her fans, maybe doing a live stream or something) but now that we’ve found out it’s going to be recorded, just like Primera Fila was, I can only assume that’s also the name of her new album, maybe even of a new song. The name clearly has a meaning for her, being probably dedicated to her late mother… But hey, I could be wrong, maybe the concert is not a recording of her next album, maybe it is just a special concert that’s gonna be recorded. 😀

I think the biggest question about Thalia’s album is “how’s it going to be different and even better than Primera Fila?”. What surprises will it hold? So far it seems it’s been “cooked” by the same recipe as 1/F, so what secret ingredient will Thalia add this time? I guess we shall wait and see. But as I tweeted her the other day, I for one can’t wait to listen to her new songs, and with each day that passes, the wait gets harder. And now, knowing that I may have to wait even more, since I’m not going to be able to attend her concert and be among the first lucky persons to discover and enjoy her new work, it’s gonna be even harder. But I’m 100% it will be worth it, as Thalia assured us it’s going to be espectacular.

That’s about all I have to say about this topic for now, feel free to share your thoughts, your expectations or anything you’d like about this post or Thalia’s new album 😀

PS: Sorry if I missed anything.

Thalia and her husband Tommy Mottola attended a fashion show last night, “Tommy Hilfiger Presents Spring 2013 Women’s Collection”.

Here are some pictures she shared on her Instagram account:

What has Thalia been up to lately? (4)

Whoa, where do I even start?

First of all, I’m done kidding myself (and you) with the whole “I know I’ve neglected my blog AGAIN, but I’ll try to post more often” story, I think that by now it’s pretty obvious it’s impossible. Oh well…

This post should have actually been “Happy Birthday, Thalía con banda: Grandes éxitos! (album)” but given that my last… 5 posts were “Happy Birthday” ones, it’s time for a change hehe.

So, in case some of you didn’t have time to “stalk” Thalia properly, here’s a summary of her past activities, important moments in her life, etc. (oh, by “lately” I mean the last two months or so)

Back in July, Thalia tweeted an awesome photo of her mani-pedi (I never would have thought I’d be writing something like this on my blog LOL) which eventually led to a new series of contests, #UñasMiBandera.

Fans from Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Turkey and not only competed for a signed copy of “Cada día más fuerte” by reproducing the countries flags on their fingernails. 🙂

Thalia then came up with a new idea, by creating a personal list called ThaliaBFF for her fans. If in the beginning she was supposed to add one person a day, being the generous person she is, the number increased and it was a challenge for everyone to make sure they were the lucky ones to be Thalia’s next BFFs. When the list reached 100 members, Thalia randomly chose the luckiest one of all, for a phone call from her. My question now? Will there be more surprises for her Twitter BFFs? Hopefully yes, cause I’m one of them 😀

There’s also been a lot of talk about her upcoming album, but I’ve decided I’m going to write about that in a new post, so let’s see what else do we have…

It seems that Thalia’s really enjoying Instagram, she’s been posting a lot of pictures there, of her trips to Aspen or the beach, her kids “travesuras”, her outfits and of course her food 😛 You can see them all on her account, @todothalia, or on your desktop by clicking here it’s an album full of colors and good vibe. ♥

Another thing that caught my eye is the presence of two new hashtags in Thalia’s Twitter timeline: #AmoALaSeñoraMaria and #SomosFanaticosYpunto. It’s great to see how much time she spends with her fans like that, don’t you think?

Finally, it’s time to talk about Thalia’s 41st birthday! 😀 You may have seen my post for her (too bad she hasn’t snif snif) but I think the best bday present from her fans came from her Brazilian fans, who did an amazing flashmob in her honor. Check it out!

Thalia celebrated her bday with her BFF Lili Estefan, apparently they had a lot of fun at the pool hehe, and of course with her husband Tommy and her friends. Here are some pictures:

She also got another amazing bday present, a song dedicated to her by singer Andres Cuervo, “Dear Thalia”. Nice!

Well, I think that’s about all, stay tuned for my post about the new album and Thalia’s concert in New York, Habítame Siempre.

Thanks for reading this post (if you read it :P) hope you liked it!
