Well… here are the last two videos of Thalia’s DVD Viva Tour En Vivo (thank you Sony Music for uploading all of them), what a great ending to an excellent show!
Thalia saved the best for last, her iconic song, Amor a la Mexicana, was probably one of the most expected of the night by the 10.000 people who went to see her at the Auditorio Nacional and Thalia did not disappoint, showing once again how proud she is of being Mexican… and loving like one. 😀

The Hits Medley was the most electric performance of the show, leaving everyone crave for more! It rose to the name of the tour, VIVA!, Thalia sang and danced her heart out and had the time of her life! Watching all this makes me really, really happy ♥ cause I love her so much and her happiness is my happiness too.

I hope this tour and especially the concerts in Mexico inspired Thalia to want to get back on stage soon!

The execution of this concert is simply great. But honestly, the editing is not so good for me. I mean most of the time, it didn’t capture the great stage design. Even the audience were not totally captured here.
And they didn’t include the part where there are four lucky fans who got the chance to sing with her. I think it’s one of the best part, even in the documentary they did not include it. And I think also that April 26 concert is much better compared to the April 27. (Except in Hoy ten miedo de mi performance, and some technical issues like the problems in the stage lights – based on the youtube videos from the fans who watched it).
And Yuri’s performance with Thalia was not here in the DVD. 😦

I agree with you, the editing is not the best, I actually said a couple of times that there’s too much camera movement and jumping a lot from Thalia to the band/audience/another angle and back, making it difficult to enjoy or even notice certain moments
the part with the people who got the chance to sing with her was indeed the best when it comes to engaging with the fans, cause how many artists do what Thalia did? I’m not sure if I would have liked to see it in the middle of the concert though, but definitely as an extra video on the DVD or at least in the documentary
and I also said I would have preferred they put the Yuri duet instead of the one with La Josa, which to me was the worst performance of the tour

Yeah you’re right. The time lapse of camera movements run so fast and I didn’t enjoy it that much. Plus the angles were not that good. It didn’t capture the whole auditorio and I don’t know why they make that audience part so dark. I think Thalia needs to hire Shakira’s editing team with her next DVD. lol. I don’t want to compare but Shakira’s DVD are well edited especially the Oral Fixation Tour DVD.
I think one of the best angles is the back part where the spotlight seems like a sunrise. I really like it. And the end part of Manias performance, where there are shadows in her face. I really really love that part. It reminds me of Entre el mar y una estrella music video.
And also, I don’t like her first outfit, seems that she’s not so comfortable moving or the dress is too heavy to look. (haha sorry for my sentiments). Her outifts in Houston leg were awesome, I think it would be better if she wear that in Mexico. Yah I agree, they should add the part that Thalia singing with her 4 loyal fans at least in the documentary. Shakira did that also in her last DVD and she added it in the main concert video. (sorry again, I compared it again with Shakira”s DVD).

Her duet with Yuri would be the most iconic part of this DVD if they add it. I don’t see any errors in their performance in Youtube. For me Maria Jose is good, but Yuri’s part would definitely be the best one. Thalia and Maria Jose’s voice are not match (for me).
And I thought Tomame o Dejame version will be the same in her Chicago performance. But it’s nottt. 😦
But still I really enjoy that first major live concert DVD, since this is her first one. But honestly, I expect a lot more in the next DVD, and I hope a bigger arena for her next DVD. And I hope the next live recording would be in the USA where the audience are more alive (I’m not saying that Mexican audience were bad, but compared to the US audience as I’ve seen in the other live concert of other artists. The US audience are more wild, they are more alive). hahahha!

good to have you back! thanks for sharing your thoughts and sentiments hehe I wish a lot more people would do that here; you certainly are more observant than I am when it comes to the DVD, you mentioned a lot of things that I didn’t even notice 😀 I’m just gonna give quick responses to some of the things you said:

I think she looks stunning in white, but I’m not one of those people who need to see her wearing something pompous, like Gustavo Matta said in the documentary, I’m happy with a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt like in this video
“sorry again, I compared it again with Shakira”s DVD” it’s ok, I like Shakira, I think she’s great, but I haven’t seen those DVDs of hers you mentioned

Haha! And thank you also to your blog, I found my new way to connect with other fans like you. I used to watched many different fan recorded videos from Youtube and compare the differences between the dates. Honestly upon watching those videos, I expect a lot from the DVD but most of the time, I am a little bit disappointed because many great moment where not captured in the DVD, like her beautiful entrance in “Hoy ten miedo de mi” performance (April 26). But they recorded the April 27 performance because Thalia forgot the lyrics many times in the first night of the Mexico concert. (I am very detailed freak! lol, I check every single thing in all of the concert I’ve watched).
“when it comes to how she looked, my least favorite is on Equivocada/Mujeres” – same here, I feel that she can’t move comfortably with that dress. Like when she’s dancing in the telenovela medley. I think her outfit in Habitame Siempre Edicion Especial DVD (Medley) would be much better. So simple and sexy. Her hips moves like crazy. lol. I don’t understand that much Gustavo Mata’s comment in the documentary, coz I’m not a native Spanish speaker but I know they have the argument about her outfits, hahaaha! Oh well, I agree with you, she looks stunning in white, what I don’t like in that dress is the back part where there’s a ribbon or something. And her opening song is Atmosfera, I don’t find her first outfit match in that song, I think this one is way better:

And the Tomame o Dejame, until now I’m still sad that she did not perform the same style (Chicago performance) in Auditorio.

Even her Viva Kids album, I didn’t expect this kind of project, I mean Ok do what you want, but please, you have your fans that still waiting for you and expect a lot from you. I think it’s her obligation also to fulfill the happiness of her fans as a true and dedicated artist. I mean she still make good music and I hope she make less cover songs.
But you know, I’m still hoping that Thalia will make another live DVD, I feel that. 200% hahaha!
