Thalía – Todavía Te Quiero (Official Video) ft. De La Ghetto

Ladies and gentlemen, PULGOSO IS BACK!!!

Thalia surprised us this morning with the release of the music video for her latest single, Todavía Te Quiero ft. De La Ghetto! The music video is an animated one (how cool is that?!) and it’s absolutely adorable and hilarious!

We see Thalia working on something that turns out to be a time travel device, while Pulgoso is happily watching her, only to snatch the device as soon as it appears to be done – probably thinking that it was supposed to be a toy for him.

in case you still have doubts about the dog being Pulgoso, look at his food bowl in the background 😀

Pulgoso accidentally activates the device and disappears only God knows where and in what time period, setting in motion a series of adventures and funny moments as Thalia embarks on a journey to find him.

This music video will definitely brighten up your day as you’ll follow Thalia through different eras, fighting robots like a badass or getting chased by a dinosaur.

Finally, with De La Ghetto’s help, Thalia and Pulgoso are reunited, reminding us that the love we share with our pets is as powerful as any other type of love ❤️ and everything goes back to normal. Well… almost 😀

There are some Easter eggs in the video too, like Thalia’s scandalous faucet bra – which appears twice – or a reference to her missing ribs. I also have to share some of the moments that cracked me up, because they’re just brilliant:

What can I say, I am already obsessed with this music video, it goes perfectly with the song, I love the message and the fact that’s it’s so creative and unexpected! Thalia has done it again! Also kudos to everyone who worked on the animation!

Below you can find some screencaps, let me know if you’ve found any more Easter eggs and feel free to share your thoughts on the video in the comment section!

Thalia was a Dancing Queen in Latina Love Tour NY concert

The second concert of Thalia’s Latina Love Tour took place at the Beacon Theater in New York City on Wednesday, September 28, with special guests Fat Joe and Chiky Bom Bom “La Pantera”. The show was even better than the first one and Thalia gave everything she had on that stage, but we’ll talk more about that in a sec.

The most beautiful moment of the night happened during “Por lo que reste de vida”, the performance started with a visibly nervous Thalia and a slight mix-up with the lyrics (which I absolutely adored ♥) and was suddenly interrupted mid-song with a “Wait guys, wait one second…”.

As I was watching the video for the first time I was like, “what is going on?” and then after a few words Thalia introduced Kirk, one of the designers of her Thalia Sodi Collection… he got up on stage with his boyfriend and SURPRISE! He popped the question right then and there! How romantic is that?!

It was such an emotional and unforgettable moment and Thalia’s reaction is priceless, you can see her freaking out in the back, grabbing the guitarist’s arm like “hold me, I can’t believe this is happening!!” I’m so happy for these guys, by the way, he said YES! and everyone was in tears, I’m in tears and LOVE IS LOVE!

Ok, now back to the concert. As I was watching some other videos I realized something… Thalia has found a great balance between singing and dancing, she’s delivering some stunning vocal moments – with songs like “Que sera de ti”, “Equivocada”, “Habitame siempre” and “Gracias a Dios” – while also presenting a fun show full of energy and dance at the same time. This woman dances her heart out during these concerts and I love that! Let’s take a closer look, shall we? Thanks again to Mercia Silva for sharing the videos!

Exhibit A: “Insensible” – Look at her go towards the end of the songs! Love those moves!

Exhibit B: “No, no, no” + “El proximo viernes” – During “No, no, no” she dances with a fan (shout out to Samir for this awesome experience! I’m happy for you man!) and then she busts some more moves during “El proximo viernes”

Exhibit C: “Todavia te quiero” – dance girl, dance! The only thing missing here is a dance partner, that would have looked even better! Tommy, where are you?

Exhibit D: “Frutas” – Pure energy & FUN!

And finally: “Tiki tiki ta” – I mean, at this point she’s basically on fire! Just look at her, she’s having the time of her life and this concert just turned into a party!

I’m honestly in such a terrific mood after watching all these videos, it gives me life to see her enjoying herself like that on stage, it’s like watching joy in it’s purest form! Like I said in the title of this post, Thalia was a Dancing Queen during this concert! And the best part is that it’s not over! I have a feeling the Miami show is gonna be awesome as well! So I’ll see you here with another review soon! Until then, thanks for reading!

Thalia answers 25 exclusive questions for ePura (English translation)

Do you know that series called “73 questions with *insert celebrity name here*” that Vogue has on its YouTube channel? Well, ePura has just released a video with a very similar concept, where they ask Thalia 25 questions during a quick break as she’s working on a secret project (hmmm, I wonder what all that is about and when exactly was this recorded).

Anyway, back to the video, I feel like translating it so that more people can enjoy it, cause it’s pretty cool. So, here it goes!

  1. Q: Do you prefer warm or cold weather?
    A: I prefer warm weather.
  2. Q: What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
A: The first thing I do when I wake up is go back to sleep.
  3. Q: What’s your secret for always looking great?
A: My secret for looking great? Having a positive attitude, seeing the world through rainbow colored glasses, trying to laugh and tell jokes.
  4. Q: If you could take 3 things to a deserted island, what would they be?
A: 3 things to a deserted island… I would take… my family, obviously, lots of water bottles, ePura of course… and I would also take chocolate!
  5. Q: What makes you the happiest?
A: What makes me the happiest is… my children’s smiles, I love watching them, they are so fun, I have such a great time with them and I love being a mother, my children make me happy.
  6. Q: What do you have in your fridge?
A: In my fridge I have… yogurt, salami, all kinds of things, I love eating, I’m a big eater, I also like kefir and… what else do I have? I have lots of things! Cherries! Lots of cherries!
  7. Q: What would you make if you needed something fast and healthy?
A: A multi grain bread with Swiss cheese and ham, mustard and there you go! Time to eat!
  8. Q: Which one of your songs is your favorite?
A: Of my songs? All of them! But in general I like The Doors, Aerosmith, Sade (?) I like lots of artists, I love music.
  9. Q: What’s the thing you enjoy the most while exercising?
A: The thing I enjoy the most is stretching, it’s wonderful.
  10. Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?

  11. Q: How do you mix your professional life with being a mother and a wife?
    A: Professional life & being a mother and a wife… it’s distressing! It gives me anxiety cause it’s a lot, I feel like a mime, a juggler.
  12. Q: What other profession would you have liked to have?
A: I would have liked to be a biologist, to work in criminology with my father, doing dissections and finding the cause of death.
  13. Q: What do you do to spoil yourself?
A: I take a hot shower, I meditate and I sing. [Laughs in Spanish 😛 cause we can see someone in the mirror]

A: My favorite song at the moment is… “Frutas”!
  17. Q: What’s your favorite fan club?
A: All of them! They’re all my favorite because there’s nothing more beautiful than the love the people give me, their passion and dedication, being with me everyday through social media and coming to see me when I have a performance.
  18. Q: What’s your secret for taking care of your skin?
A: Always washing it in the morning and at night, using morning and night cream, and most importantly, drinking lots and lots of water.

  20. Q: What do you value the most in life?
A: The people that are with me.
  21. Q: What advice would you give people for taking care of their body?
A: I advise them to always move their bodies, the latest disease is being sedentary so always move your body. It will make you feel younger, feel good and you’ll gain so much strength!
  22. Q: How are you so charismatic?
A: Charismatic, me? Not at all! But I am cheerful and happy and I think that is what I want to pass on to my people.
  23. Q: What is the first thing you think about when I say Mexico?
A: Joy, party, music, great food, lots of friends.
  24. Q: What is your ideal spot for songwriting?
A: The plane, I always write songs on planes.
  25. Q: If you could travel back in time, what year would you choose and why?
A: I’d travel to the time of Jesus Christ, so I could be next to Him and listen to Him. That’s what I would do.

I have to say I enjoyed this a lot (which is also why I decided to post it here), it was fun to watch Thalia answer all these questions while also walking from room to room, jumping on the bed, getting in the bathtub! And it’s also been a great way of learning new things about her! So thanks ePura & Thalia for making this video!

Thalia’s Latina Love Tour is pure dynamite!

Latina Love Tour debuted last night, with a sold-out show at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey. I can’t believe it’s already been three years since I wrote about the first night of VIVA! Tour but I can tell you this: Thalia is back with a show that’s even more explosive, more full of energy and life, that will keep you dancing song after song!

The setlist included the smashing hit “Desde esa noche”, upbeat songs like “Frutas”, “Tiki Tiki Ta”,  “Todo”, “La movidita”, “De ti”, the “Vuelveme a Querer” remix and the electric “Más”. Classics like “Amor a la Mexicana”, “Piel Morena”, the novelas medley (“Rosalinda / Marimar / Maria la del Barrio”), “No me enseñaste” couldn’t miss either, while bachata fans got a special treat with “Te perdiste mi amor” and “No, no, no”.

Here are my highlights after I’ve watched a few videos on Youtube, with many thanks to the good soul Mercia Silva who recorded and posted them for us to enjoy (you can check out her channel for more).

  • The opening, because of the song selection (I wish she’d sing “Noches sin luna” though…), loved what was going on on the screen, and because those moments before the artist shows up on the stage are always so exciting!

  • “Gracias a Dios”, because I love the slow version at the beginning! Great vocals! And that little girl who got up on stage was so cute!

  • “Por lo que reste de vida”, I think this is the first time we got to hear it 100% live and it was worth the wait!

  • The sexy “La movidita”, I love love love it!

  • And the fun “De ti”, one of my faves from Latina, I’m even dancing here in my chair while writing this!

  • Aaaaand *drums* the best moment of the entire show and actually one of my favorite moments from Thalia’s entire career – “Más” where she actually plays a bedazzled electric guitar! My favorite thing about live performances is when an artist that doesn’t play any instrument suddenly starts playing one during a song. It’s priceless. And I’ve been waiting for her to do this for so long! *clap clap clap* Can we get a stripped performance of “Equviocada” now, with just her and an acoustic guitar? Yes, I always want “más” hehe

I could go on and on an post all the videos from the concert, I’ll just stick to adding a couple of special mentions:

  • “Equivocada” because this song is so special to me I just have to

  • and “Habitame Siempre”, because that song is so special to Thalia

pics via Thalia 4Ever

Can we also talk about the fact that the people in the front row were inches away from her? And she got close to them every chance she got? Now that’s the perfect concert experience! However in my opinion it sucks when people take advantage of that and get up on stage uninvited during the performance, taking pictures, hugging her, but contrary to what the media has been saying these past few days, she handles these situations very gracefully and lovingly towards her fans.

At some point, she even jumped into the crowd as you can see in this video, but since everyone had to throw their phones to catch her, there isn’t any video footage after that 😛

I absolutely loved what I’ve seen from the show and I can only imagine how amazing it must have been to be in that audience and just live it, hopefully Thalia will bring this tour to Europe too *fingers crossed*

I’m excited for the upcoming shows as I’m sure there will be more surprises and special guests. If you still haven’t got tickets, what are you waiting for? Check out Thalia’s Instagram for dates and tickets info!

Russia dances to Desde esa noche

My dear friend Nastia aka @cuatachona aka Thalia’s no. 1 Russian fan 😛 has just sent me this link and I got so excited about it I had to share it here!

The video was filmed a few weeks ago in a park in Moscow, during an outdoor zumba class. Can you guess the song? Well, sorry for spoiling it in the post title 😀

Yes, it is “Desde esa noche”! In Moscow. Russia. Isn’t that cool?!

Thalia, you know what this means, right? Now you have to bring Latina Love Tour to Russia! (and then Romania hehe)

Update: Here’s another video!

Thalia ft. Tito “El Bambino” – Vuélveme a Querer Urban Remix Video

Thalia released her new music video today and let me tell you something… I AM LIVING! Seriously, this video made my day week!

The “Vuélveme a Querer” Urban Remix was officially released not long ago and surprisingly, Thalia decided to shoot a music video for this version of the song too!

You know how the media usually introduces her as “Mexican singer, actress, author, radio host, fashion designer, entrepreneur *and the list goes on*? Well, they can now add *music video producer, director and editor* to that long list, thanks to this video.

If I still had some doubts about how this music video was created, Thalia made all of them disappear with these words she posted on her Instagram:

Ready to recreate the video? I did it, and edited it on my phone! (source)

Aaaah, I love her so much!

It’s almost as if she’s competing with Miranda Sings to see who is the most talented of them all 😂

Miranda Sings: I’m funny, I’m talented, I’m a singer, I’m an actress, I’m a dancer, I’m a model, I’m a craft maker, I can wash my hands (source)

Anyway, when VaQ was announced as the next single, people were like *Noooo, another ballad?? Worst single ever.* When the official music video was released, they were like “Ugh, this video is so unoriginal and boring, Thalia doesn’t even care about her career anymore* etc, etc.

And now we get this remix and this priceless music video. I mean… if THIS:

and THIS:

and THIS:

PS: don’t pause the video, some of these images will give you nightmares

don’t just SCREAM creativity and originality, then I don’t know what does. Oh, isn’t this what you wanted? That’s too bad.

When I looked at the comments people posted on Youtube, I got sad for a second… but then I realized their reaction is the most hilarious thing ever! Some people are so upset about this album and are being soooo dramatic about it 😂 HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, THALIA?! HOW COULD YOU?!

*Thalia, the ultimate troll*

Remember that time I wrote a post about how Thalia does whatever she wants to do? (click here if you haven’t read it). Well, nothing has changed. She wanted to do an unconventional music video for this remix and just have fun with it, film it and edit it on her phone, and that’s exactly what she did! And I applaud her for that!

Too bad Tito aka “El Bambino” aka “El Patron” (dude, just pick a nickname already!) took his part too seriously and didn’t goof around with it.

Ok, jokes aside, I’m not a big fan of the remix (you know me, remixes are not my cup of tea) but the more I listen to it, the more I like it, especially starting with minute 3:00. I noticed Thalia added some more vocals to the song there and that last minute sounds great! It’s a good remix for the summer, with a light and colorful video which is meant to reflect just that and nothing more, so just enjoy it!

Thalía – Vuélveme a Querer (Official Video)

The video for Vuélveme a Querer was supposed to be released on May 13 (I think), however according to Thalia’s Twitter, she couldn’t wait any longer and decided to give us the video TODAY!

Now, let me tell you something, as someone who’s part of various fan bases for different artists and Youtubers, if there’s one thing I have noticed is that fans can be so mean, so harsh, and they actually become the biggest critics (and haters) ever.

The expectations are always so many and so high and with this, inevitably comes disappointment. So, given the lyrics of this song, a lot of people were expecting some kind of story that would represent them (me included) and now they are complaining that the video is shallow, lacks creativity etc etc.

Despite the fact that I may not always agree with Thalia’s decisions and yes, sometimes I get disappointed or frustrated (I mean, have you read my last post? LOL) I always try to remember that she’s a PERSON just like us, and she tried her best to give a quality video for this song, was excited to work on it and share it just as we were excited to see it, so just try to remember that, ok?

Coming back to the story of the song, although there may seem that there’s no story there, my interpretation is as follows: those scenes where Thalia’s all alone on stage, barefoot and dressed casually, in an empty theater, gives me major Primera Fila throwbacks and MAYBE the point is that THIS is actually Thalia’s STORY – back in 2009, when she wanted to get back to music and maybe thought that her audience had forgotten her or had stopped loving her as much as they did in the past, so this is the story of her wanting her audience to love her again. “Aún quedan mil canciones por cantar…

Am I reaching here? Maybe haha it can all be random and just meant to look pretty and that’s all, but I’d rather believe that there’s more to this video, you just have to look a little bit closer.

I could go on and on supporting my interpretation, analyze the fact that we see two versions of Thalia here and what that could mean, but I think this post is already long enough 😀

Queen! 😍

I would really love to see what your thoughts are, so please share them in the comment section below!

PS: I’m gonna upload some captures soon, I wish I had time to do it now… but I don’t 😀 Thanks for reading!
