Thalía – Todavía Te Quiero (Official Video) ft. De La Ghetto

Ladies and gentlemen, PULGOSO IS BACK!!!

Thalia surprised us this morning with the release of the music video for her latest single, Todavía Te Quiero ft. De La Ghetto! The music video is an animated one (how cool is that?!) and it’s absolutely adorable and hilarious!

thaliattq2

We see Thalia working on something that turns out to be a time travel device, while Pulgoso is happily watching her, only to snatch the device as soon as it appears to be done – probably thinking that it was supposed to be a toy for him.

thaliattq4-a

in case you still have doubts about the dog being Pulgoso, look at his food bowl in the background 😀

Pulgoso accidentally activates the device and disappears only God knows where and in what time period, setting in motion a series of adventures and funny moments as Thalia embarks on a journey to find him.

thaliattq25

This music video will definitely brighten up your day as you’ll follow Thalia through different eras, fighting robots like a badass or getting chased by a dinosaur.

Finally, with De La Ghetto’s help, Thalia and Pulgoso are reunited, reminding us that the love we share with our pets is as powerful as any other type of love ❤️ and everything goes back to normal. Well… almost 😀

thaliattq37

There are some Easter eggs in the video too, like Thalia’s scandalous faucet bra – which appears twice – or a reference to her missing ribs. I also have to share some of the moments that cracked me up, because they’re just brilliant:

What can I say, I am already obsessed with this music video, it goes perfectly with the song, I love the message and the fact that’s it’s so creative and unexpected! Thalia has done it again! Also kudos to everyone who worked on the animation!

Below you can find some screencaps, let me know if you’ve found any more Easter eggs and feel free to share your thoughts on the video in the comment section!

Thalia ft. Tito “El Bambino” – Vuélveme a Querer Urban Remix Video

Thalia released her new music video today and let me tell you something… I AM LIVING! Seriously, this video made my day week!

The “Vuélveme a Querer” Urban Remix was officially released not long ago and surprisingly, Thalia decided to shoot a music video for this version of the song too!

You know how the media usually introduces her as “Mexican singer, actress, author, radio host, fashion designer, entrepreneur *and the list goes on*? Well, they can now add *music video producer, director and editor* to that long list, thanks to this video.

If I still had some doubts about how this music video was created, Thalia made all of them disappear with these words she posted on her Instagram:

Ready to recreate the video? I did it, and edited it on my phone! (source)

Aaaah, I love her so much!

It’s almost as if she’s competing with Miranda Sings to see who is the most talented of them all 😂

Miranda Sings: I’m funny, I’m talented, I’m a singer, I’m an actress, I’m a dancer, I’m a model, I’m a craft maker, I can wash my hands (source)

Anyway, when VaQ was announced as the next single, people were like *Noooo, another ballad?? Worst single ever.* When the official music video was released, they were like “Ugh, this video is so unoriginal and boring, Thalia doesn’t even care about her career anymore* etc, etc.

And now we get this remix and this priceless music video. I mean… if THIS:

and THIS:

thaliaVaQremix3

and THIS:

thaliaVaQremix2

PS: don’t pause the video, some of these images will give you nightmares

don’t just SCREAM creativity and originality, then I don’t know what does. Oh, isn’t this what you wanted? That’s too bad.

When I looked at the comments people posted on Youtube, I got sad for a second… but then I realized their reaction is the most hilarious thing ever! Some people are so upset about this album and are being soooo dramatic about it 😂 HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, THALIA?! HOW COULD YOU?!

thaliaVaQremix1

*Thalia, the ultimate troll*

Remember that time I wrote a post about how Thalia does whatever she wants to do? (click here if you haven’t read it). Well, nothing has changed. She wanted to do an unconventional music video for this remix and just have fun with it, film it and edit it on her phone, and that’s exactly what she did! And I applaud her for that!

Too bad Tito aka “El Bambino” aka “El Patron” (dude, just pick a nickname already!) took his part too seriously and didn’t goof around with it.

Ok, jokes aside, I’m not a big fan of the remix (you know me, remixes are not my cup of tea) but the more I listen to it, the more I like it, especially starting with minute 3:00. I noticed Thalia added some more vocals to the song there and that last minute sounds great! It’s a good remix for the summer, with a light and colorful video which is meant to reflect just that and nothing more, so just enjoy it!

Thalía – Vuélveme a Querer (Official Video)

The video for Vuélveme a Querer was supposed to be released on May 13 (I think), however according to Thalia’s Twitter, she couldn’t wait any longer and decided to give us the video TODAY!

Now, let me tell you something, as someone who’s part of various fan bases for different artists and Youtubers, if there’s one thing I have noticed is that fans can be so mean, so harsh, and they actually become the biggest critics (and haters) ever.

The expectations are always so many and so high and with this, inevitably comes disappointment. So, given the lyrics of this song, a lot of people were expecting some kind of story that would represent them (me included) and now they are complaining that the video is shallow, lacks creativity etc etc.

Despite the fact that I may not always agree with Thalia’s decisions and yes, sometimes I get disappointed or frustrated (I mean, have you read my last post? LOL) I always try to remember that she’s a PERSON just like us, and she tried her best to give a quality video for this song, was excited to work on it and share it just as we were excited to see it, so just try to remember that, ok?

Thalia-VaqVideo1

Coming back to the story of the song, although there may seem that there’s no story there, my interpretation is as follows: those scenes where Thalia’s all alone on stage, barefoot and dressed casually, in an empty theater, gives me major Primera Fila throwbacks and MAYBE the point is that THIS is actually Thalia’s STORY – back in 2009, when she wanted to get back to music and maybe thought that her audience had forgotten her or had stopped loving her as much as they did in the past, so this is the story of her wanting her audience to love her again. “Aún quedan mil canciones por cantar…

Am I reaching here? Maybe haha it can all be random and just meant to look pretty and that’s all, but I’d rather believe that there’s more to this video, you just have to look a little bit closer.

I could go on and on supporting my interpretation, analyze the fact that we see two versions of Thalia here and what that could mean, but I think this post is already long enough 😀

Queen! 😍

I would really love to see what your thoughts are, so please share them in the comment section below!

PS: I’m gonna upload some captures soon, I wish I had time to do it now… but I don’t 😀 Thanks for reading!

Thalia performs Vuélveme a querer on Nuestra Belleza Latina

On Sunday, May 8, Thalia was a guest on Univision’s show Nuestra Belleza Latina, where she performed the second single from her new album – Latina (available now!).

Vuélveme a querer is definitely one of my favorite songs from Latina and I’m happy we got this first performance on TV while we’re waiting for the official music video.

There’s no movement across the stage this time, but Thalia’s gestures and facial expressions are more than enough and perfectly convey the message and emotions of the song. I also loved the dress and that big smile at the end of the performance 😍

ThaliaNBL1

All in all, it was a good performance, but you know me, I desperately need a live performance of this song 😭. Thalia, my love, please, I believe in you, I know you can deliver a jaw-dropping, heart-warming, live rendition of this song (and any other song). I don’t know what’s holding you back but please, bring back that version of yourself I fell in love with back in 2009/2010. To this day, one of my favorite performances is Equivocada on Hoy, you were so nervous from the beginning, you messed up the lyrics and it was still PERFECT because it was raw, it was emotional, and that’s what music really is about!

Ok, rant over 😀 Here’s Vuélveme a querer:

PS: You can also check my post about Más on NBL, it’s actually pretty similar to this one haha

Thalía – Desde Esa Noche (Official Video) ft. Maluma

Thalia’s new music video featuring Maluma was released on March 18 and is already close to reaching 5 million views and 100.000 likes! YEAH!

When I first watched, it gave me some major throwbacks, I felt like Rosalinda herself was making a cameo and that the music video was shot in 2002, cause in some parts Thalia looks EXACTLY like she did on her Thalia 2002 album cover! How does she always look so stunning?! Seriously, she looks so adorable with those bangs! 😍

TDEN15

The style and whole vibe of the video reminded me of Como Tu No Hay Dos and I think it’s interesting that Thalia decided to throw in some Japanese elements in there – I particularly loved the intro!

TDEN22

Maluma is staying true to his “Pretty boy, dirty boy” image and we see him getting a tattoo – cause duh – and then he joins Thalia on stage, where sparks start flying all over again, and I have to admit I fell in love with his smile 😀

TDEN18

I would also like to say that Thalia’s outfits and accessories are all so damn cool and on point, I want them all, especially that personalized leather jacket! ❤️

TDEN7

In conclusion, I think they did a great job with this video, I really like it and I appreciate that Thalia is giving her best and is working hard on this new stage of her music career. I can finally say that I’m excited for LATINA!

As per usual, here are some of my favorite moments from the video, enjoy!

Video: Thalía – Sólo Parecía Amor

ThaliaSPA19

This is soooo exciting! Sólo Parecía Amor is the third single from Amore Mio and it now has an awesome music video that was released earlier today!

The video is a mix of Thalia looking simply stunning, fierce, contemplative, sweet, mysterious, hot… or in one word: FLAWLESS!

ThaliaSPA5

I love the outfits, her make-up, her gorgeous hair and most of all, her attitude and gestures when she interprets parts like “Vete de aqui, no entiendo que estas buscando, de que me estas hablando” or “No digas mas tonterias, no tiene caso, no” towards the end. I’ve said this before, she definitely knows how to perform a song and act out the lyrics with such passion it makes you feel every single word.

ThaliaSPA2

Oh, and have I mentioned she looks stunning? I love it when she’s dressed in white or red and both are present in this video! Not to mention that sparkly silver dress, Viva Tour style!

Me watching the video = 😍 I hit that replay button the second the video ended and if I didn’t have to write the post first, I’d probably still be watching it over and over again – which is exactly what I’m going to do now!

As per usual, here are some of my favorite shots from the video!

PS: Check out Sony Music Latin‘s press release, which I now realize has the same ideas as my post, but written in a much more eloquent manner 😀

The timeless heartbreak ballad from her new album Amore Mío

MIAMI (April 27, 2015) – Every Thalía record outdoes itself with a heartbreak ballad that makes a permanent home in our hearts. Amore Mío, her latest album, is no exception. “Solo Parecía Amor” (It Only Seemed Like Love) is the name of the song that writes a new chapter in the history of Thalía’s timeless ballads.

The album’s third single, “Solo Parecía Amor” is a full-throttle power ballad that’s accompanied by a music video. The video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, showcases all of Thalía’s presence and elegance. This is Thalía, interpreting this moving new song in her unmistakable voice. The new video is now available on VEVO. When Thalía has something to say, we listen closely. And when she acts in front of the cameras, we can’t take her eyes off her beguiling way of expressing herself.

Por favor no menciones la palabra amor, eso nunca sucedió” (Please don’t mention the word love, that never happened), she sings with sentiment that many will identify with.

The album Amore Mío has already produced two big hits: “Como Tú No Hay Dos” (There’s No One Else Like You) feat. Becky G, and “Por Lo Que Reste de Vida” (Throughout the Life that Remains). With a deep well of exquisitely produced material,Amore Mío keeps on delighting us with unforgettable music.

Don’t miss Thalía at The Today Show with Kathie Lee & Hoda, on April 28 and at the Rachel Ray Show on May 7.

Thalia sings “Imagine” for UNICEF

ThaliaImagine1

Surprise!

UNICEF Mexico has just released this emotional (and way too short!!! 😭) video that features Thalia singing a fragment of John Lennon’s iconic “Imagine”!

“Mexican singer Thalia joins UNICEF’s global campaign for children’s rights through the “Imagine” initiative.” says the description of the video.

Feel free to visit http://imagine.unicef.org/en/about for more info.

ThaliaImagine2

In case you missed it, Thalia was named Cyber Ambassador by UNICEF in 2014, for her role in the “El bullying no es un juego” campaign.

Raise your hand (I mean, comment below 😛 ) if you want to hear Thalia sing the full version of this song!
