It’s here!!! Thalia – Por Lo Que Reste De Vida

This still feels like a dream, somebody pinch me! I can’t believe this song is here and we get to enjoy it! Although we knew that Thalia was working on a new album, she really surprised us all with the release of this single! And I’m so glad she did!!!

Let me just say that to me, P-L-Q-R-D-V is P-E-R-F-E-C-Th! I loved it from the moment I listened to the first preview, I loved it even more when Thalia shared the first verses and now that I’ve listened to it in its entirety it has become one of my favorites!

Thalia’s ballads have a special place in my heart and after Equivocada, Como, Manias, No soy el aire and so on, what I particularly like about this one is that the lyrics are positive and sooo romantic, compared to the sadness, disappointment, heartbreak etc expressed in most of her latest ballads. The lyrics also remind me of ‘Es tu amor’, another song that I love.

Por Lo Que Reste De Vida touches something inside me in a way that I can’t explain, Thalia’s voice and her interpretation, as well as the music, simply take me to a different place and I realize now that this is why Thalia will always be my favorite artist 🙂

Time to resuscitate the “Song of the week“ category!

I wanted to post a positive, uplifting song, since it’s Sunday, also known by fans as “Domingo de #PensamientosPositivos“, and also this week marked the beginning of 2014, so I think that “Solo se vive una vez” is the perfect song to listen to right now!

The track was co-written by Thalia for her Lunada album (long before YOLO became mainstream haha) and has great lyrics, it’s important to remember that we should enjoy every moment, appreciate the little things in life, travel more and discover new places… and love, love the beauty that surrounds us, the people in our lives and everything we do.

IT IS FINALLY HERE!!!

The wait is over! I’ve been wanting to post this for soooo long (well, in fact it’s only been a week since the official release of Manías on iTunes & Amazon), especially since I discovered Thalia’s VEVO channel on Youtube – ThaliaVEVO (once again – finally!) I knew it was a matter of time until the lyric video would be uploaded (thank God it is available for my country, otherwise I would have gone really mad) and although I don’t understand why it didn’t happen on the release day of the single (some kind of marketing strategy, I guess), it doesn’t even matter now. What matters is that I can finally share the song HERE on my blog (cause I didn’t want to do so with the ones that “leaked” on Youtube).

First of all, let me just tell you that I first listened to Manías at 3 am and it was a unique feeling… here’s me “sleeptweeting” about it haha:

@thalia it’s 3am and i just listened to it for the first time. AM I DREAMING?! it’s heartbreaking and it’s simply brilliant. *speechless*

I’ve had it on repeat almost every day since, I LOVE IT and can’t get enough of it !!! That voice, that powerful interpretation, the magical instrumental (is that a small orchestra in the background?) everything’s PERFECT!

Not to mention that I was even more excited to listen to Manías as it is the first single of a new album that Thalia releases since I became her fan, so all this is a new experience for me and I’m enjoying every step of the way!

Now, about the lyric video, it’s very well done, I love the transitions and the effects and especially the photos that pop up towards the end, as well as the texts & the closing photos. It’s something that I haven’t seen on other lyric videos, so thumbs up for that too!

It’s been a long time since I last wrote a post in this category (wow… actually… a year… how could have I completely ignored this?)

I woke up a couple of days ago with this song in my mind and felt the need to write about it… maybe because it’s one of the songs that perfectly describe the “mood” I’ve been in over this past week…
