Thalia ft. Tito “El Bambino” – Vuélveme a Querer Urban Remix Video

Thalia released her new music video today and let me tell you something… I AM LIVING! Seriously, this video made my day week!

The “Vuélveme a Querer” Urban Remix was officially released not long ago and surprisingly, Thalia decided to shoot a music video for this version of the song too!

You know how the media usually introduces her as “Mexican singer, actress, author, radio host, fashion designer, entrepreneur *and the list goes on*? Well, they can now add *music video producer, director and editor* to that long list, thanks to this video.

If I still had some doubts about how this music video was created, Thalia made all of them disappear with these words she posted on her Instagram:

Ready to recreate the video? I did it, and edited it on my phone! (source)

Aaaah, I love her so much!

It’s almost as if she’s competing with Miranda Sings to see who is the most talented of them all 😂

Miranda Sings: I’m funny, I’m talented, I’m a singer, I’m an actress, I’m a dancer, I’m a model, I’m a craft maker, I can wash my hands (source)

Anyway, when VaQ was announced as the next single, people were like *Noooo, another ballad?? Worst single ever.* When the official music video was released, they were like “Ugh, this video is so unoriginal and boring, Thalia doesn’t even care about her career anymore* etc, etc.

And now we get this remix and this priceless music video. I mean… if THIS:

PS: don’t pause the video, some of these images will give you nightmares

don’t just SCREAM creativity and originality, then I don’t know what does. Oh, isn’t this what you wanted? That’s too bad.

When I looked at the comments people posted on Youtube, I got sad for a second… but then I realized their reaction is the most hilarious thing ever! Some people are so upset about this album and are being soooo dramatic about it 😂 HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, THALIA?! HOW COULD YOU?!

thaliaVaQremix1

*Thalia, the ultimate troll*

Remember that time I wrote a post about how Thalia does whatever she wants to do? (click here if you haven’t read it). Well, nothing has changed. She wanted to do an unconventional music video for this remix and just have fun with it, film it and edit it on her phone, and that’s exactly what she did! And I applaud her for that!

Too bad Tito aka “El Bambino” aka “El Patron” (dude, just pick a nickname already!) took his part too seriously and didn’t goof around with it.

Ok, jokes aside, I’m not a big fan of the remix (you know me, remixes are not my cup of tea) but the more I listen to it, the more I like it, especially starting with minute 3:00. I noticed Thalia added some more vocals to the song there and that last minute sounds great! It’s a good remix for the summer, with a light and colorful video which is meant to reflect just that and nothing more, so just enjoy it!

Thalía – Vuélveme a Querer (Official Video)

The video for Vuélveme a Querer was supposed to be released on May 13 (I think), however according to Thalia’s Twitter, she couldn’t wait any longer and decided to give us the video TODAY!

Now, let me tell you something, as someone who’s part of various fan bases for different artists and Youtubers, if there’s one thing I have noticed is that fans can be so mean, so harsh, and they actually become the biggest critics (and haters) ever.

The expectations are always so many and so high and with this, inevitably comes disappointment. So, given the lyrics of this song, a lot of people were expecting some kind of story that would represent them (me included) and now they are complaining that the video is shallow, lacks creativity etc etc.

Despite the fact that I may not always agree with Thalia’s decisions and yes, sometimes I get disappointed or frustrated (I mean, have you read my last post? LOL) I always try to remember that she’s a PERSON just like us, and she tried her best to give a quality video for this song, was excited to work on it and share it just as we were excited to see it, so just try to remember that, ok?

Thalia-VaqVideo1

Coming back to the story of the song, although there may seem that there’s no story there, my interpretation is as follows: those scenes where Thalia’s all alone on stage, barefoot and dressed casually, in an empty theater, gives me major Primera Fila throwbacks and MAYBE the point is that THIS is actually Thalia’s STORY – back in 2009, when she wanted to get back to music and maybe thought that her audience had forgotten her or had stopped loving her as much as they did in the past, so this is the story of her wanting her audience to love her again. “Aún quedan mil canciones por cantar…

Am I reaching here? Maybe haha it can all be random and just meant to look pretty and that’s all, but I’d rather believe that there’s more to this video, you just have to look a little bit closer.

I could go on and on supporting my interpretation, analyze the fact that we see two versions of Thalia here and what that could mean, but I think this post is already long enough 😀

PS: I’m gonna upload some captures soon, I wish I had time to do it now… but I don’t 😀 Thanks for reading!

Thalia performs Vuélveme a querer on Nuestra Belleza Latina

On Sunday, May 8, Thalia was a guest on Univision’s show Nuestra Belleza Latina, where she performed the second single from her new album – Latina (available now!).

Vuélveme a querer is definitely one of my favorite songs from Latina and I’m happy we got this first performance on TV while we’re waiting for the official music video.

There’s no movement across the stage this time, but Thalia’s gestures and facial expressions are more than enough and perfectly convey the message and emotions of the song. I also loved the dress and that big smile at the end of the performance 😍

All in all, it was a good performance, but you know me, I desperately need a live performance of this song 😭. Thalia, my love, please, I believe in you, I know you can deliver a jaw-dropping, heart-warming, live rendition of this song (and any other song). I don’t know what’s holding you back but please, bring back that version of yourself I fell in love with back in 2009/2010. To this day, one of my favorite performances is Equivocada on Hoy, you were so nervous from the beginning, you messed up the lyrics and it was still PERFECT because it was raw, it was emotional, and that’s what music really is about!

Ok, rant over 😀 Here’s Vuélveme a querer:

PS: You can also check my post about Más on NBL, it’s actually pretty similar to this one haha

Thalia’s new single – Vuélveme a Querer – is here!! I hope you have some tissues close by, cause it will hit you right in the feels.

As you may or may not know, I fell in love with Thalia’s music thanks to No me enseñaste and later on, Equivocada. If I had to make a “Top 10 favorite Thalia songs”, most of them would probably be ballads, not only because of my personality and taste in music, but mostly because Thalia’s ballads are EPIC.

In my opinion ballads are Thalia’s forte, the way she performs them is so emotional and touching, she pours her heart and soul into these songs and they easily go straight to yours.

Vuélveme a Querer is so special and powerful, I love how intense it gets towards the end (and I hope we’ll get to hear a live performance soon, cause it would be incredible!) and the lyrics, well… they are heartbreaking… but also hopeful.

I have been obsessed with this song from the moment I heard the preview, so if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to it on repeat forever… I mean, at least until Latina comes out! 🙂

PS: Is it just me, or does Thalia look different on this cover?

Thalía – Desde Esa Noche (Official Video) ft. Maluma

Thalia’s new music video featuring Maluma was released on March 18 and is already close to reaching 5 million views and 100.000 likes! YEAH!

When I first watched, it gave me some major throwbacks, I felt like Rosalinda herself was making a cameo and that the music video was shot in 2002, cause in some parts Thalia looks EXACTLY like she did on her Thalia 2002 album cover! How does she always look so stunning?! Seriously, she looks so adorable with those bangs! 😍

The style and whole vibe of the video reminded me of Como Tu No Hay Dos and I think it’s interesting that Thalia decided to throw in some Japanese elements in there – I particularly loved the intro!

Maluma is staying true to his “Pretty boy, dirty boy” image and we see him getting a tattoo – cause duh – and then he joins Thalia on stage, where sparks start flying all over again, and I have to admit I fell in love with his smile 😀

I would also like to say that Thalia’s outfits and accessories are all so damn cool and on point, I want them all, especially that personalized leather jacket! ❤️

In conclusion, I think they did a great job with this video, I really like it and I appreciate that Thalia is giving her best and is working hard on this new stage of her music career. I can finally say that I’m excited for LATINA!

As per usual, here are some of my favorite moments from the video, enjoy!
