Audio: Thalia – Vuélveme a Querer

Thalia’s new single – Vuélveme a Querer – is here!! I hope you have some tissues close by, cause it will hit you right in the feels.

As you may or may not know, I fell in love with Thalia’s music thanks to No me enseñaste and later on, Equivocada. If I had to make a “Top 10 favorite Thalia songs”, most of them would probably be ballads, not only because of my personality and taste in music, but mostly because Thalia’s ballads are EPIC.

In my opinion ballads are Thalia’s forte, the way she performs them is so emotional and touching, she pours her heart and soul into these songs and they easily go straight to yours.

Vuélveme a Querer is so special and powerful, I love how intense it gets towards the end (and I hope we’ll get to hear a live performance soon, cause it would be incredible!) and the lyrics, well… they are heartbreaking… but also hopeful.

I have been obsessed with this song from the moment I heard the preview, so if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to it on repeat forever… I mean, at least until Latina comes out! 🙂

Audio: Thalia – Si alguna vez

Let me start off by saying that I’m not over Amore Mio, I need “Contigo quiero estar” and/or “Amore Mio” to be released as singles and music videos, ok? 😔

But hey, we got a new song and that’s all that really matters right now, “Si alguna vez” is here – yes, I know I’m late to the party, I was out of town and couldn’t post about it sooner – and as you already know, this song is the soundtrack of Antes muerta que Lichita, Televisa’s new telenovela starring Maite Perroni and Arath de la Torre.

The announcement that Thalia recorded this song created a lot of drama, as Maite had already recorded the song and everyone was expecting her version to be the official one, as she plays the lead role of the telenovela after all, but clearly the producers changed their minds and asked Thalia to do it. Aaaand of course she got a lot of hate for accepting the offer and singing this song, I was secretly hoping that the song would be released as a surprise duet with Maite, that would’ve been awesome 😏.

Honestly, I haven’t listened to Maite’s music, but this song feels like such a Thalia song that I can’t imagine a better version with anybody else’s voice 😀 It reminds me so much of “Regalito de Dios” and “Tu puedes ser”, having the same positive vibe, catchy tune, adorable lyrics… it just has Thalia written all over it and I love it!

It’s no secret that although she’s been mainly focused on her Macy’s clothing line, Thalia is also working on her Viva Kids Vol 2 and a brand new original album, people are saying that this is the first single off that album, but like I said, I’m not over Amore Mio just yet. Anyway, it’s always exciting to hear new music from Thalia so I’m grateful for this song and can’t wait for more!

Laura Pausini and Thalia – Sino a Ti (Official Audio)

The most anticipated duet of the year (at least by me) is finally here! I was waiting for the video to be released (ehm… yesterday), but it looks like our wait is not completely over, so until then here’s the official audio!

While Se non te / Sino a ti wasn’t really among my favorite songs by Laura Pausini, this version is really outstanding and I’m not saying that just because it’s featuring Thalia hehe but because together they made it sound more powerful and impressive.

I also have to admit that Thalia surprised me once again (just like she did with Hoy ten miedo de mi, for example), as she played with her voice and took it to places I wasn’t expecting, but still left room for the Thalia I know, especially towards the end of the song. Speaking of the end of the song, that last “sino a ti” they harmonized is simply angelical.

A while ago Thalia revealed on Instagram that she was working on one of Alejandro Sanz’s songs, “Cuando nadie me ve“.

The song is featured on a special tribute album to Sanz, “Y si fueran ellas”, which counts with the participation of 13 renown female singers who give a new life to his songs through their voices.
