Video: Thalía – Sólo Parecía Amor

This is soooo exciting! Sólo Parecía Amor is the third single from Amore Mio and it now has an awesome music video that was released earlier today!

The video is a mix of Thalia looking simply stunning, fierce, contemplative, sweet, mysterious, hot… or in one word: FLAWLESS!

I love the outfits, her make-up, her gorgeous hair and most of all, her attitude and gestures when she interprets parts like “Vete de aqui, no entiendo que estas buscando, de que me estas hablando” or “No digas mas tonterias, no tiene caso, no” towards the end. I’ve said this before, she definitely knows how to perform a song and act out the lyrics with such passion it makes you feel every single word.

Oh, and have I mentioned she looks stunning? I love it when she’s dressed in white or red and both are present in this video! Not to mention that sparkly silver dress, Viva Tour style!

Me watching the video = 😍 I hit that replay button the second the video ended and if I didn’t have to write the post first, I’d probably still be watching it over and over again – which is exactly what I’m going to do now!

The timeless heartbreak ballad from her new album Amore Mío

Update: Well, some of us have listened to the previews of the album (probably before we were supposed to… but nonetheless they are still available on Youtube, so… I don’t really know what to say about that) and it’s time to see the results of my polls.

There were about 95-100 voters on each question and the majority is excited about the album!

What’s interesting to see is the song preference of the voters, the Top 5 songs being:

• Amore Mio (64 votes, 15.53%),
• Tranquila (56 votes, 13.59%),
• Como tu no hay dos (53 votes, 12.86%),
• Por lo que reste de vida (43 votes, 10.44%)
• Mas (36 votes, 8.47%).

Thalia’s new album – Amore Mio – out November 4!

Thalia’s upcoming studio album was listed on Amazon a few days ago and yesterday she officially announced it on her social networks accounts, revealing the album cover as well!

The title of the album – Amore Mio – came as a surprise to many people, as it’s the Italian for “Amor Mio” which would have been the obvious choice. But let’s not forget that Thalia’s husband, Tommy Mottola, was born in an Italian family, so the album could be dedicated to him. Besides, there are even more elements in Thalia’s life that could be connected to the reason behind this choice and I’m sure we’ll get an explanation soon enough.

Going back to Amazon, Amore Mio is already no. 3 on the Latin Hot New Releases and no. 9 on the Latin Pop Best Sellers!It seems that there will also be a Deluxe version of the album, for around $12.00.

Well, what can I say? I love the cover of the album, the photo is beautiful, the lighting is great and Thalia’s accessories are so cool! Also, I’m glad that for once we got the announcement and cover reveal directly from her and not just through online stores. Hope we’ll have an updated version of thalia.com soon!

Update: Well, it would seem that somebody’s read my post and listened to what I said here (just kidding, I wish I were that relevant) Anyway, Thalia’s team has eventually published a press release on her Facebook page, revealing the album’s cover, track list and more details about the project.

It looks like some of the songs are from the work of Thalia’s beloved Pedro Infante, others have been performed by kids in the Juguemos a cantar festival (Thalia participated in 1984 with Moderna nina del rock – I’m surprised she didn’t choose it for the album) and one of them was featured on the Wreck-It Ralph OST (we know who inspired Thalia to do the English version of that song – her son Matthew Alejandro). This album will be a treat not only to children, but also to those who grew up with these songs.

Regarding the album cover, it’s… nice… 😀 but it could have been much better, to be honest.

Also, I’m glad I got my answers to what the DVD will include. Apparently, hundreds of people participated in the production process of the music and the cartoons and if all their work turns out to be as cute as the Chupie video, everyone will adore it!

Don’t know about you, but I’m excited to listen to those songs in Thalia’s voice and adapted to 2014! 😉

When Thalia’s children’s book (Chupie – The Binky That Returned Home) was released, it was supposed to come with an album for the little ones, composed of Thalia’s childhood songs that her two children enjoy too.

The book was released but there was no sign of the CD, until Thalia mentioned in the HuffPost Live interview that she was preparing two new albums and people started speculating that one of them was going to be the children’s one.

Well, they were right. Although some sites informed that the album was going to be released on the third week of January, we only now have a title and an “official” release date.

According to music store mixup.com.mx, the album, called Viva Kids Vol.1, will be distributed in two formats: CD+DVD and DVD+CD starting with March, 25 (although the date may change). The album cover is yet to be released.

My reactions to this? First of all, Viva Kids? – how did I not see that coming? Secondly, Vol. 1? – cause one children’s album wasn’t enough. Also, CD+DVD? – what’s on that DVD?

I must say I’m intrigued by this album, especially the DVD… but it’s also disappointing that once again, I had to find out about this thanks to the fans, instead of an official source (hello, record label? hello, Thalia’s team? can we, just once, get this kind of info from you? it would be so nice!)
